iPhone runs linux kernel

The iPhone linux project announced a few days ago that it has successfully ported the Linux 2.6 kernel to the iPhone with 1st & 2nd gen and 1st gen iPod Touch support. They are still missing a lot of drivers, but this is a big step in getting a alternative OS running on the platform. (more…)
